The will of Martha Carrrington [made in 1809 with a codicil of 1816] proved 12/05/1821 in which she left primarily £2000 in consols shows her residence at North Church and her family network: daughters Martha Anne, Amelia and Catherine Napier, and sons George and 'Sir Edmund C. Carrington' and John William, and her nephew Paul Carrington Parris, who had apparently predeceased her [her will refers to money 'derived' from him].

Member of the Baillie of Dochfour family who had numerous mercantile connections in the West Indies. The compensation for Baillie's Bacolet in Grenada was awarded to the trustees of her marriage settlement. Grand-daughter of Colin Roy Campbell of Glenmure. Apparently a victim of the quack doctor John St John Lang of Harley Street in 1830.

A cover note outlining the contents of the document.
