Butler Corfe, in his will made 7/06/1822, proved 17/01/1823, bequeathed his fifth part or share in a plantation called Retrieve situate in the island of Leguan in the colony of Essequibo purchased from (sister-in-law) Martha Gater to his son George, son-in-law James Coulthred and a John Sharman, Great Coram Street, Brunswick Square. Date of acquisition from Martha not specified.
His widow Sarah Corfe, in her will made 5/04/1824, proved 28/02/1826, bequeathed her one-sixth or some part of the residue of her late brother George's estate real and personal in the colonies of Essequibo and Demerary to her four children: George Corfe, Elizabeth Corfe, William Thomas Corfe, and Margaret Coulthred.
Sarah Corfe was the daughter of Daniel and Martha Crafts, who married Butler Corfe in Twickenham, 25/10/1787.
