Biography
- Will of Mary Ledwich widow [of Edward Ledwich late of Kingston Jamaica Doctor of Physick] of St George Bloomsbury [made in 1786] proved 01/09/1787. She left half of her residuary estate to be divided 1/3rd to her niece Milborough Elrington widow; 1/3rd to Milborough Elrington's daughter also named Milborough; and 1/3rd to Milborough Elrington's sons John and Robert. The other half she left to her grand-niece Elizabeth Mead Elrington. She provided that if her servant Sally chose to return to Jamaica, her executors would pay her passage: she left her £12 beside. In a codicil of 1787 she left £200 each to two nephews [probably great-nephews] Henry and George Maxwell and [great] niece Isabella Maxwell.
