Second son of Henry Pennant of Holywell and Bagillt and his wife Margaret nee Vychan. Solder in Jamaica from 1655. Married Elizabeth Aldwinkle 07/09/1669. Father of Edward Pennant (q.v., 1672-1736).
Member of Assembly for Clarendon in 1671 and 1675 and for St Catherine in 1674. "Father of Edward Grandfather of John ( and Jeffrey ) and Gt. gd. father of the first Lord Penhryn. Captain of the Horse Regiment part of a trained band in Jamaica 1670."
