Biography

London merchant, partner until 1779 with John Ryland (q.v.) and then continuing under his own name.

  1. Will of John Bond merchant [late] of Crutched Friars [but now of St Mary Axe [made in 1787] proved 21/08/1801. He rehearsed his marriage settlement under which his wife was entitled to £9000 and left further rmonetary legacies including £8000 for his wife and children. In a codicil of 1796 he noted he had not disposed of his freehold property (in London, Northamptonshire and at Stansted Mountfichet) which he ordered sold. In 1798 he noted the death of John Ryland and revoked the legacy of £50 he had left to him.
