1771 - 22nd Dec 1851
Heir to £10,000 under the will of her father George Webbe senior of Nevis (q.v.) and also heir of her brother Josiah Webbe of the East india Co. She was also the residuary heir of Alexander Allan, MP for Berwick 1803-1806 and 1807-1820, an East india Co. director. She induced the reinstatement of her own family's surname by her son Alexander Allan Webbe, a preference expressed by her own mother Mary Webbe (q.v.), and presumably reflecting in both cases her estrangement from her husband mentioned in her mother's will made in 1814. No will has been found for her.
In 1841, Fanny Francklyn was living at Hereford Street, Westminster, with her son Alexander age 30, four female servants and two male servants. In 1851 Fanny Franklyn[sic] aged 76 born West Indies fundholder was living at 18 Hereford Street with her son Allan aged 41. Fanny Francklyn of 18 Hereford Street was buried 28/12/1851 age 51 in All Souls Cemetery, Kensal Green.
In 1852 Alexander Allan Webbe, of St George Hanover Square only son of Henry Francklyn late of Tonbridge Wells by Fanny his second wife, only daughter of George Webbe of Nevis and sister and heir [sic] of Josiah Webbe Chief Secretary to Governor of Madras and Resident at Scindia, by the 'earnest wish' of his late mother Fanny Francklyn, was granted the right to use name and arms of Webbe rather than Francklyn.
