Mauritius merchant, partner in Thomson, Passmore and Thompson, dying c. 1834. He was a member of the Royal Astronomical Society, whose journal carried an obituary in 1835 as a 'distinguished practical navigator', a free trader in India and head of the 'respectable agency house of Thomson, Passmore and Thompson.'
