???? - 1775
English landowner and a creditor of Oliver Calley (q.v.), who agreed to assign to her the mortgage he held over the estates of Richard Ottley in order to secure his (Calley's) debt to her of £16,000. Her long and complex will is silent on the debt from Calley and on 'slave-property', and it is possible that the assignment never took place.
Will of Frances Newman of Old Palace Yard proved 16/09/1775 PROB 11/1011/223.
