Biography

In 1773 John Edison purchased an annuity of £60 p.a. for his life and that of his wife Mary Barbara for £500 from William Walker and Jonathan Atkinson, secured on property in St Vincent including an estate named as the Upper estate at the head of the Kingstown Valley in St George Parish.

  1. Will of Mary Barbara Edison [late of Coopers Hall but now residing at] Kensington widow [made in 1804] proved 06/06/1811. She left £400 in consols to her daughter Jane Ballard, and ordered her freehold house in the Square Kensington to be sold for her three children.
