Biography
Slave-owner on St Kitts, but in London when he made his will in 1764.
- Will of George Leigh of St Marylebone [made 31/10/1764] proved 22/01/1766. In the will he placed his unnamed estates and enslaved people in St Kitts in trust to support annuities of £350 p.a. for his wife Anna Maria, £200 p.a. for his son Charles and £30 p.a. for his sister [presumably half-sister] Catherine Hammond spinster. He left his wife also half the residual profits of his St Kitts's estates unless he remarried, in which case she would receive an annuity of £500 p.a. in total.
