Robert Thorne purchased an annuity of £60 p.a. for the lives of himself and his wife Frances secured on the estates and enslaved people of John Abel Ward on Nevis in 1774. He also appeared among 23 purchase in a deed of 1774 under which Augustin Gwyn (q.v.) agreed to sell annuities secured on Mount Charles estate and Middleton Pen in Jamaica.
Will of Robert Thorne of Enfield [made in 1782] proved 12/11/1785. The will is simple and made his wife Frances his universal legatee and sole executrix.
Frances Thorne widow remarried, to William Claxton, at St Andrews Enfield 25/01/1791. She died c. 1820.
