Charles Jackson in 1774 purchased an annuity of £50 p.a for the lives of himself and his wife Jane and daughter Jane Margaret Jackson secured on the property including enslaved people of John Abel Ward (q.v.) of Nevis. He also appeared among 23 purchasers who were party to a deed of 1774 under which Augustus Gwyn (q.v.) agreed to sell annuities secured on the Mount Charles estate and Middleton Pen in Jamaica (Charles Jackson's colleague at the Post Office, Anthony Todd (q.v.), also appears as a subscriber in both annuities).
