Biography

There were two men named Andrew Ross on St Vincent in the 1800s (and both referred to in different sources as 'Hon.'), one this man, slave-owner on St Vincent in association with John Kean (q.v.) and the father of Henry James Ross (q.v.), and the other the Hon. Andrew Ross (q.v.), father of John Pemberton Ross (q.v.) and husband of Bridget Ross (q.v.). In addition, a third Andrew Ross, of Westmill Hertfordshire whose will was proved in 1793, was a creditor of his brother-in-law George Webbe of Nevis.

  1. The will of Andrew Ross of St Vincent dated 07/10/1806 was reported by Kenneth Morgan in EAP 345. Transcriptions online show this man as the husband of Ann, father of Henry James Ross and co-owner of Henry's Vale.
