???? - 1831
Joseph Dorin of Dorin Thomson & Co. was party to a deed of 1803 whereby a group of London merchants raised £60,000 in new loans for Alexander Donaldson (q.v.) secured on extensive 'slave-property', mostly in the form of mortgages. Dorin's will made in 1829 and proved 31/03/1831 is three lines long and was made at Boulogne, both indicators that he was in financial difficulties by the time of his death.
