Slave-owner on St Vincent, developer and co-owner of the Bellaire estate. He was dead by 1803, but LBS has not yet found a will or death-date for him. He was pursued by the executors of James Blair (q.v.) for unpaid rent on land and enslaved people he had leased from Blair in St Vincent, and Robert Melville as the acting executor in England succeeded in having him imprisoned for debt apparently for three years from 1782 to 1785.
