Biography
- Jean Rose Joseph Baquie, son of Jean Pierre Baquie of the parish of Notre Dame de Bon Port, St. Pierre, Martinique and his wife Rose Elizabeth nee Blanchard. A minor in 1810 when he married Catherine Victoire Regnier at a Catholic ceremony in Kingston. Catherine, of the parish of Notre Dame of the Assumption in Torbeck, in the plain of les Cayes du fond, southern part of St. Domingue, was also a minor at the wedding. They had five children: Catherine Caroline (1813-1832), Charles George Edouard (1816-), Catherine Francoise Ysabelle (1819-), Edward Regnier Hampden (1821-), William Mortimer (1824-1827).
