Elizabeth Noel

???? - 1784

Biography

Elizabeth Noel of Cavendish Square appeared among a group of mortgagees of the Rosali [sic] estate on Dominica in 1775. Her will made 17/11/1780 and proved in 14/04/1784 makes no reference to the mortgage but does record debts to her of £2000 from John Brathwaite, probably the slave-owner and colonial agent who died in 1800 (q.v.), and of £500 to Robert Orme (q.v.), as well as her interest in the Public Rooms at Margate.
