???? - 1838
The will of William Gordon of Hanover [made at Tryall in 1838] proved in London 03/04/1839 ties together the testator with the William Gordon who was executor of Neil M'Callum and with the William Gordon who was the attorney for Tryall (and by extension with other estates in the Allen family), and [with a little less certainty] also with the William Gordon who was attorney for Simon Haughton Clarke's estates (q.v., under William Gordon Attorney of the Haughton Clarke family). Some of the smaller compensation awards currently associated with this man might refer to a different man; conversely, there might be other attorneyships not yet associated in the database which belong to William Gordon of Hanover.
