Possibly the Sarah Cole referred to in a document of indenture between '(1) Philip Dehany, James Pinnock and John Allen, trustees appointed by the will of Richard Welch, formerly of Jamaica, deceased, (2) Richard Welch, only son and heir at law of the said Richard Welch, deceased, (3) Lucretia Mary Welch, widow and relict of the said Richard Welch, deceased and (4) Elsey James Cole and Sarah Cole of St. Catherine, Jamaica, women of colour, whereby the trustees release to the Coles a house in St. Iago de la Vega; Oct. 23, 1794.' Unfortunately the document does not give any further details of the connection between the Coles and Richard Welch, deceased.
