Biography

Sir Edmund Antrobus, 2nd bart. Coutts banker, trustee of George Watson Taylor for several estates, and executor of Tully Higgins for the Blenheim estate in British Guiana.

  1. Son of John Antrobus and Anne Crawfurd, and nephew and heir of Sir Edmund Antrobus 1st bart. Educated Eton and St John's College Cambridge. Married Anne Lindsay, daughter of Hon. Hugh Lindsay and grand-daughter of 5th Earl of Balcarres 16/10/1817 (five sons, five daughters). Succeeded his uncle, Sir Edmund Antrobus 1st bart. (also a partner in Coutts, d. 1826 leaving £250,000). Left £300,000.
