Awarded the compensation for the enslaved people on Mannheim estate in St David Jamaica. Although described as an absentee in the Register of Claims, no trace of him has been found to date in Britain. He appears to have been in Jamaica in the mid-1820s.
T71/866 St David claim no. 124; e.g. Curtis's Botanical Magazine Vol. 58 p. 3092 refers to him as 'a very intelligent planter in St David's mountains' in the context of a description of efforts to introduce Arracacha to Jamaica, delivered in 1825.
