Biography
Sir Henry Allen Johnson 2nd bart (1785-1860), son of General Sir Henry Johnson (1748-1835) and Rebecca (died 1823), daughter of David Franks of Philadelphia and sister of John Franks of Isleworth.
- Both Sir Henry Allen Johnson's father and his fourth son appear (as soldiers) in the ODNB. Of Sir Henry Allen Johnson himself it is reported in his son's ODNB entry that 'a student of Christ Church, Oxford, [he] was tutor there to the prince of Orange, and, having received a commission in the 81st regiment, accompanied him as aide-de-camp to the Peninsula, where he served with Wellington.' Sir Henry Allen Johnson matriculated Christ Churrch Oxford February 1804 aged 18.
