Resident slave-owner, whose estates were in the hands of mortgagees (Manning & Anderdon and Anthony Hart) from the late 1820s and subject to the Chancery suit of Davies v Gregson in 1859.
Son of John Rawlins (1757-1800) and his wife Sarah Johnson nee Hart (d. 1837). Born April 1795, Member of Assembly for Trinity, St Kitts, 1821, Lieutenant of 13th Regiment, died 1840. Married Martha Hart Wilson, daughter of William Ponsonby Wilson of Glasgow (1803-1833). A daughter, Alice Hart Rawlins, born 03/01/1828, married Thomas B. Hardtman-Berkeley in St Kitts, 1846, died in London 23/02/1906.
