Rev. John Nurse

Rev. John Nurse of Christchurch, Barbados, baptised 24/04/1808 in St George, Barbados, son of Joshua Bushell Nurse (q.v.) and his wife Catharine. He married Emily, daughter of Richard Oliver Smith (q.v.) in Grenada, 11/05/1835. They had at least three children born in Barbados, the last one baptised in January 1840. John died in Bridgetown, Barbados, 05/12/1839.

By 1851 Emily had moved to England where she was living at 8 Leicester Place, Clifton, Gloucestershire, with her children Emily and John. "Emily, widow of the Rev. John Nurse, of the Island of Barbados, West Indies" died 27/12/1880.
