Biography

The son-in-law of 'H. Farley of Trinidad', Edward Elder, is in the ODNB as 'headmaster', first of Durham Cathedral School and then of Charterhouse. Elder was born in Barbados in 1812, the son of John William Edmund Elder of Barbados, and had married Augusta Farley in 1845.
