Awarded  the compensation with others, including his brother Rev. John Kirby, as assignees of an annuity of £230 per annum for the life of John Vernon, secured by demise of slaves for 100 years, arrears £3517 10s 0d. It is not yet clear how the assignment arose and whether the assignees were beneficiaries.
