Biography

Awarded part of the compensation for the enslaved people on Mackinnon's in Antigua as trustee of the marriage settlement of Henry Mackinnon and Catherine Call (George's sister). His father Sir John Call was MP for Callington 1784-1801.

  1. George Cotsford Call, second son of John Call of Whiteford Cornwall baronet; matriculated Magdalen Oxford 30/06/1803 aged 19; brother of Sir William Pratt Call second baronet. In 1841 George C Call aged 57 was living with his wife Ann aged 53 at Park, Landulph Cornwall. In 1851 he was at the same address aged 67 landed proprietor born London with nephew John L Prior clergyman (no care of souls) and his sister Phillida Bathurst aged 76, also born London. Death registered Q3 1855 at Newton Abbot Devonshire.   

  2. Henry Mackinnon had applied for a marriage license with Catherine Call (then a minor aged 19) 03/10/1804 at St George's Hanover Square.
