Awarded with his wife Jeanne Gertrude Sluyterman (q.v.), daughter and co-heiress of Pieter Elias Charbon of Amsterdam, and with two others surnamed Charbon, presumably his brothers-in-law, the compensation for the enslaved people on Hoop van Peter and Standvastigheid in British Guiana.
The Dutch designer of the same name (1863-1931) was presumably a son or grandson of this Theodorus Karel Lodewyk Sluyterman.
