Biography

Awarded one-third of the compensation for the enslaved people on Springfield on Dominica as trustee of William Lindsay Darling (q.v.) and his wife Anna Rose, presumably his brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

  1. In 1841 Edward Kendall aged 50 'Ind[ependent]' was living at Lansdowne Terrace Cheltenham with 3 daughters aged 15-20, a governess and four servants. In 1851 he was at Packington Hall Weeford Staffordshire with the family of his second wife Eliza Lee Homfray. Will of Edward Kendall late of 6 Lansdowne Crescent Cheltenham who died 26/3/1872 proved 10/6/1872, effects under £1500 resworn November 1872 £2000.

  2. Edward Kendall of Lllangattock Co. Brecon married Anna Maria Darling by licence at Mansfield 20/11/1810.
