1792 - "An act to entitle John Moncrieffe, of the parish of St Mary, a free quadroon man, planter, and Milborough his wife, a free mulatto woman, and their several children, named Mary Moncrieffe, Benjamin Scott Moncrieffe, Elizabeth Moncrieffe, John Moncrieffe, Milbrough Moncrieffe, and Ann Maria Moncrieffe, to the same rights and priviledges with English subjects, born of white parents, under certain restrictions."
Peter Moncrieffe, admitted to Queens' College, Cambridge, 04/06/1829. Of the West Indies, only son of Benjamin, Esquire, of St Anne's, Jamaica. Matriculated 1829. Migrated to Trinity, 12/11/1831; BA 1835. Admitted at the Inner Temple, 12/11/1832. Called to the Bar, 24/11/1837. Peter Moncrieffe, barrister, of York Place, son of Benjamin Scott Moncrieffe gentleman, married Henrietta Cary at St Mark Myddelton Square Islington 07/12/1840.
