Arthur Campbell, Edinburgh-based Writer to the Signet, trustee to the residuary devisees of David Hutchison (q.v.).
- Born in Lorne, Ayrshire c. 1790, parents were Arthur Campbell of Auchmannoch, a landed proprietor, and Barilla [?] Campbell née Hunter. Married Jane Bartson, the daughter of Thomas Barston and Jane Barston née Mitchelson. Living at Warrender Lodge, Easter Duddingston, in the census of 1841 with his wife Jane and their children Jane Ann (age 15), Buretta (age 11), Isabella (age 9) and Elizabeth (age 7) plus 4 servants. Living at 3 Drummond Place, Edinburgh, in the censuses of 1851, 1861 and 1871 (with his son Arthur, age 20 in 1851). Died at 3 Drummond Place, 03/03/1875.
