Counterclaimed as vendor of 2/3rds of Middleton or Middelton estate in St George Jamaica, with the purchase money allegedly unpaid by John Gully. Middleton was shown against Daniel Marah in the 1822-1833 Jamaica Almanacs, and against 'Gully and Fargie' in the 1838 volume.
Anna Maria Bowen Lewis married John Dobbin Rhode at St Paul's, Bristol, 06/10/1834. There were previous Rhode connections for the family. Frederick Rhode Lewis, son of James Lewis and Anna Maria Lewis, was baptised in Kingston in 1826. Thoda Maria James Lewis, daughter of James Lewis and Jane [sic?] Marid [sic?] Bowen Lewis was baptised in Kingston in 1830.
