Major (later Lt-Colonel) Robert Winchester of the 92nd Highlanders, army officer, who in right of his second wife Rachel Winchester née Walsh was awarded a half share of the compensation for enslaved people on Ann Grove and a 1/6th share for enslaved people on Harmony Hill, both in St George, Jamaica.    

  1. Marriage: "Lately... At Seymour Hill, Captain Robert Winchester, 92nd Highlanders, to Matilda, daughter of Robert Johnstone, Esq." Death of Lt-Col Robert Winchester, Peninsular and Waterloo veteran, late of 92 Highlanders but retired on full pay, at his residence in Edinburgh c. July 1846.
