Awarded the compensation for the enslaved people on the Bath estate in Westmoreland Jamaica with others as trustees and executors of David Murray, alongside David Murray's widow Agnes Murray (q.v.).
Probably but not certainly the nephew of Agnes Murray née Smith (her mother's maiden name was Wildman). If so, then probably also the George Wildman aged 61 'Ind.' living at Caton Lancashire in 1841 whose death was registered at Lancaster Q3 1841. Both the Smith and Murray families were identified with Melling, a few miles from Caton, outside Lancaster.
