Robert Edward Case and his wife Mary had at least two sons: Edward Howe baptised in Clifton 31/08/1820 and Frederick Charles baptised in Clifton 29/06/1824, and two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Fanny. By the time Robert Edward Case made his will in 1844, his surviving children were Edward Howe; Mary Elizabeth; and Fanny.
Death of Robert Edward Case registered Q2 1844 Clifton Gloucestershire.
Will of Robert Edward Case, merchant of Bristol, proved 23/05/1844. Under his marriage settlement with Mary Howe of 1818, he left to his son Edward Howe Case the house at No. 4 Grosvenor Place in Clifton, to the exclusion of his two daughters Mary Elizabeth and Fanny, to whom he left £1500 each. He left to Edward Howe Case the capital he had in the partnership of Pinney & Case and in 'Clarke Maze & Co., or the Great Western Cottonworks or by whatever firm or title the same may be known.' He then charged his interest in Clarke Maze with £500 for each of his daughters, payable unless its profits over three years did not reach £1000.
