George Lackington

1. A George Lackington Law[yer] is shown aged 60 at Circus Road Marylebone with his daughter Fanny (aged 25) in the 1841 census. This George Lackington appears to have been the son of Charles and Elizabeth Lackington, born 30/12/1777, married Eliza Bullock in 1805, and had at least two children with her, George (baptised 1818) and Fanny (baptised 1814), and to have died Q2 1844, being buried at Kensal Green on 06/04/1844 aged 66.  However, this man is also described as a 'bookseller of London' in the records of Fanny's christening.  The bookseller George Lackington withdrew from  his bookselling partnership of Lackington Hughes et al 07/10/1822.
