Biography

Alexander Cruickshank (1772–1846) was one of at least four brothers of the Cruikshank family (in addition to James (1748–1830), Patrick (1749–97), and John (1766–1810)) who went to St Vincent in the late eighteenth century. The Cruickshank family had been farmers in in Strathspey for many generations before.
