Biography

William Barron, partner in A.D. Stewart & Company (q.v.), Army Agent. Awarded compensation for Barbados No. 2016 and probably for Barbados No. 2061 as co-trustee of Reynold Alleyne Ellcock's daughter, and counterclaimed unsuccessfully on St Lucia No. 356 with Archibald David Stewart. This is the same William Barron, with his address as 24 Albion Street Hyde Park, who counterclaimed in right of his wife, Susanna, daughter of Wm Howard Rollock and Rebecca his wife for Barbados No. 4766.

  1. In 1861 William Barron aged 66 Army Agent (born Waterford Ireland) was living with his wife Susanna (61, born Barbadoes) and daughters Mathilda 30 and Dorothy 27 at 66 Gloucester Place.  Will of William Barron of 66 Gloucester Place who died 24/06/1866 proved 25/10/1866, effects under £800.
