Biography

Almost certainly the son of Stephen Cramer the elder (q.v.), (who with Wm Bishop was in lawful possession of Plant. Westfield in 1826 and who owned in his own name Pln. Bremen in 1826, and who had also owned the Perseverance estate, and who had died c. 1830).

Jan (or Johannes) Pieter Steven Cramer of Demerara, admitted to Leyden University age 17 in 1821. Published thesis for a doctorate in medicine in 1827.
