Biography

Lestock Peach Wilson was a partner in the East India firm of Palmer, McKillop (q.v.) - who were mortgagees on Upper Latante in Grenada - and brother-in-law of Maria Edgeworth. He was the son of Lestock Wilson (q.v.), a captain for the East India Company who is described in online sources as 'founder of Palmer, Wilson & Company, a shipping company.'

The will of Lestock Peach Wilson of 37 Wigmore Street who died 17/07/1868 was proved 01/08/1868, effects under £8000 (resworn Sept. 1870 under £9000). A call for creditors of Lestock Peach Wilson late of 37 Wigmore Street who died 17/07/1868 was published in the London Gazette 22/12/1868.
