Biography

Party with her husband to the Chancery suit of Kortright v MacQueen, into which the compensation for the enslaved people on Potosi was paid. Although given in the compensation records as 'Jane Ann' MacQueen, she was almost certainly the Jean Ann MacQueen late of 94 Hill Street Peckham who died 16/08/1867 leaving under £200, will proved by Eleanor M. MacQueen the daughter.

  1. In 1851 John MacQueen landowner aged 63 born Jamaica was living at 1 Stanley Place, Lambeth with wife Jean A. aged 50 born Dalwick Peeblesshire and son Arthur aged 29 and daughter Eleanor M. aged 23.
