Biography

Niece of Michael Benignus Clare and Margaret Halkett (previously Dame Margaret Clare) (q.v.), awarded with the latter and her second husband Hugh Halkett (q.v.) the compensation for four awards in St Catherine and St John in Jamaica as judgement creditors. She was also awarded the compensation for a further two awards with her aunt under her first husband's name as Dame Margaret Clare, as trustees and executrixes. Her own husband appears to have been a Baptist minister.
