Biography

  1. Son of Dudley Semper senior of Montserrat (who had bought Hermitage and River head estates in Montserrat in 1824 and died in 1833). Brother of Michael Joseph Semper junior, Dudley Semper junior, Thomas Semper, Martin Semper and Harriet Semper (all q.v.). Brother-in-law of William Dardis Furlonge and William Shiell (both q.v.).

  2. Will of Martin Semper planter of Montserrat who died at Richmond plantation 25/01/1889 proved 01/01/1890, effects in England £720 12s 3d, proved by Richard Tweedie, attorney of surviving executor Mary Margaret Furlonge the niece now residing in Montserrat. Mary Margaret Furlonge may well be the daughter of William Dardis Furlonge and Eliza Semper, which would make her the niece of the Martin Semper who was the son of Dudley Semper senior.
