Garrett Nagle

Garrett Nagle of Ballynamona, Co. Cork, Ireland, awarded part of the compensation for enslaved persons on Boarded Hall estate in Barbados as executor and trustee of Admiral Sir Edmund Nagle (q.v.), of whom he was also residuary devisee with his fellow executor Christopher Richard Nugent.

1. Garrett or Garret Nagle, uncle of Sir Edmund Nagle, had assumed the care of the young Edmund (together with Edmund Burke) following the death of the young Edmund's father in 1763. The awardee was probably the son, Garret Nagle junior, cousin of Sir Edmund Nagle, but conceivably cousin's son.
