Biography

London merchant, awarded the compensation for a total of eight enslaved people on Barbados as assignee or judgement creditor. Also an unsuccessful counterclaimant (through his agent R.W. Killick) for several claims previously owned by Wace and Pierrepont, the bankrupt Barbados merchants.

  1. Isaac Levi had been in partnership with Solomon Jacob Levi (q.v.) at 75 Old Broad Street London merchants trading under firm of Isaac and Solomon Levi until the withdrawal of the latter 27/4/1825. Isaac Levi of 36 Old Broad Street was bankrupt in 1836.
