Louis William Boode

Small-scale slave-owner of Barbados. There is confusion in some sources with L.W. Boode (d. c. 1800), the husband of Margaret nee Dannett. A student of this name was at Leyden, age 17, 30/09/1788, and was more plausibly L.W. Boode (d. 1800), the brother of Andreas Christian Boode, Edward Gustave Boode and Jacobus Hendrik Boode (all q.v.), than this man who died in 1844.

1. Will of Louis William Boode [made in Demerara in 1837 and attested there in 1844] proved 21/08/1845. He left his property to his wife Sarah Prescod Boode.
