Son of Jacobus Hendrik (J.H.) Boode (1764-1826), grandson of Johan Barend Christoffer Frederik (Friedrich) Boode (1733-1796), and nephew of Andreas Christian Boode (q.v.). Resident in Demerara in the 1830s, died in Overveen, The Netherlands in 1863.

Jamaican-born widow of a prominent slave-owner; resident in Britain following the death of her husband in 1818. Accused - and acquitted - of the cruel treatment of some enslaved people whom she brought to Britain with her.
