Merchant of Amsterdam, in the partnership of Westrik & Pool, a large-scale owner in Berbice. The firm was described as 'late' in 1826, when Gasper Jan Westrik was named as representative of the firm in legal action over the L'Esperance coffee plantation in Berbice, property of the late J. W. Heytmeyer.
