Biography

Claimed the compensation for the Green Field estate in British Guiana (as 'J.D. Goddard'), for which the money was paid into the colonial court, and also claimed unusuccessfully for a much smaller award in Barbados.

  1. The Green Field plantation was put up for sale by auction in 1835 as a result of litigation brought by a number of parties in British Guiana, none of them apparently among the counterclaimants for compensation.
