Biography

Merchant in Roseau, Dominica in partnership with Dugald Stewart Laidlaw and Adam Paterson (both of whom q.v.). Reportedly eldest son of William Bremner and Jane Mary Laing, born c. 1806, and heir to the coffee plantation Aberdeen.  

  1. Death of James Laing Bremner registered Q1 1864 Camberwell Surrey; will of James Laing Bremner formerly of Peckham but late of 42 Southampton Street Camberwell who died 07/02/1864 proved 06/02/1872 by Mary Jane Hamilton widow the daughter of 8 Star Street Edgware effects under £20.
